Meet Our Leaders

Scott Boyte, Senior Pastor
Scott Boyte is a Phenix City native and a dedicated, Bible-believing leader with a heart for church revitalization and discipleship. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies (Magna Cum Laude) and is currently advancing his education through a Master’s in Biblical Exposition at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
A "bi-vocational" pastor, Scott has spent over 21 years in the food service industry. While he currently serves the local market as a District Sales Representative for Wood Fruitticher, he also brings thirteen years of experience as a District Sales Manager to his professional and ministry leadership.
Scott and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 41 years and are the proud parents of two sons and grandparents to two grandchildren.

Rodney Yancey, Youth Pastor
Rodney Yancey has served in children’s and youth ministry for more than 20 years. He started attending Silver Run in 2019 and stepped into the role of Youth Minister the following year. In October 2022, he received his ordination as Associate Pastor of Youth.
Growing up, Rodney’s only experience with church was fun outings with friends, but as an adult, he realized that no one ever shared the Gospel with him. Since then, he has made it his mission to never miss the opportunity to share the hope of Christ with those who need to hear. He is passionate about his calling and loves to connect with kids and teens on a personal level and let them know they can call on him in times of need.
Rodney has been married to his high school sweetheart, Amanda, for 29 years and they are proud parents of two children, Colton and Bethany.

Traci Perry, Children's Ministry Coordinator
Traci Perry has been attending Silver Run since she was 14. She has served in children's ministry for many years and has been the official Coordinator since 2010. Traci is a former Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher.

She and her husband, Mike, have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. The Perrys are passionate about helping every child know Jesus is real and to witness them growing in their faith. Their ministry is built on love, safety, and spiritual growth.

Traci's heartfelt desire is that every child comes to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and that while they are at Silver Run, each child will feel welcomed and loved.
